Playing in the Park

Since the sun is finally choosing to peak out from behind the clouds lately, we're trying to take advantage of the nice weather and get Xander outside.  We want him to like being outside and playing in the grass, backyard, park, wherever.  He's having trouble at daycare when they go outside (we think because of the number of other, older kids around), so we're working on that.

The other day we went to a playground about a block away.  Xander is getting very independant and although he would hold my hand sometimes, he much preferred walking on his own.  We took the dogs with us, so he enjoyed "chasing" Evie while she trotted in front of him.  He's not fast enough to catch her yet, but he was enjoying himself.  (This was also the method we used to get him home because he kept wanting to go back to the playground.)
Not much more explanation is needed than that...other than we had a heck of a time trying to keep him from eating the rocks.
Fascinated by stepping through the bars
Yes, he's probably eating dirt and rocks here - much to our chagrin.
He loved the slide!
